He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Tom and Matt Wilde, sisters Mary Alice Wilde, Elizabeth Wilde, June Schultz, Norma Telck, Margaret Cukale, and Ann Engstrom.įuneral services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Howell and husband Tom, Roberta (Janie) Brown and husband Bill all of Rock Springs sister Caroline Majhanovich of Lakewood, Colorado grandchildren Colleen Martinez and husband Don, Lindsay Rodriguez and husband Arturo, Libby Garcia and husband Lance all of Rock Springs, and Jennifer Piirto and husband Keith of San Antonio, Texas great-grandchildren, Madison, Isaiah, Olivia, Jacob, Blake, Jack and Prestin numerous nieces and nephews. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Lois Wilde of Rock Springs daughters Vicki J. His interests were telling stories to his grandchildren, gambling, music with the steel guitar, building bird houses, wishing wells and mailboxes, repairing anything broken, giving attention to babies, spending time in Pinedale and Mesa Arizona in the winter with his wife Lois. He was a city councilman from Ward 3, serving 1981 to 1992. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a member of the VFW Post 4801, the American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Disabled American Veterans. He had been employed as a parts salesman for Auto Parts, City Auto, and then Macy’s Truck Repair retiring in 1991. He received the status as retired Army being discharged June of 1953. He received the Korean Service Medals, two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, and the United Nations Ribbon. He then entered into the US Army in March 1951 and served during the Korean War. He married Lois Jean Hardin Februin Rock Springs. ![]() He attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1947. He was born Jin Rock Springs the son of Matthew Shipley Wilde and Elizabeth Reynolds Wilde. Wilde, 83, a lifelong resident of Rock Springs died Monday, Decemat Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a sudden illness. ![]()
